Since its inception, Telepath has been a continuously evolving musical organism. From the lounge of "Three Olives" to the downtempo/world music of "Fire One" and "Contact", to the vocally-driven "Crush", fans have never known quite what to expect when producer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Michael Christie sends a new collection of tracks out into the world. Now in 2014, Michael has put away the synthesizers (for now) and sat behind REAL instruments: guitars, bass, drum kit and organ, to create a very different kind of record. "Between The Devil And The Black Dirt Floor" digs deep into dirty, swampy blues riffs over heavy organic beats. The end result is music that channels the fire and grit of a Led Zeppelin or a Black Keys, while maintaining the feel, the precision, and the sonic clarity that one expects from a Telepath album.
